Doctor Who manages to be about the same thing as the Tanith Lee novel I'm reading, only without the homoeroticism and the pseudo-gnostic vampires.

Frank and I went to see Control. It was beautifully shot, but I have very little interest in watching people's marriages deteriorate, even if they are in one of my favourite bands. Everyone was a bit too pretty, a bit too hip looking. Bernie Sumner was adorable, though.

Friday before last I attended a charming party at vermilionskies's with robots_suck. I am too lazy to type out the lj names of everyone in attendance. We talked about records and slash and science fiction, and various guests recounted their run-ins with the KKK. I am very glad to have grown up in the "inner city."

Yesterday I went to LJ's (a book store, not some anthropomorphic personification of live journal) to pick up a book I'd been meaning to get for robots_suck, and discovered they were having a 20% off Science Fiction sale.
